# Terms of use and privacy

This site, yakimavalleybest.com, is run by Yakima Valley Publishing, Inc., publisher of the *Yakima Valley Business Times*. By using it, you agree to these terms.

## Voting rules

- One ballot per email address per week. A ballot needs at least 12 picks to count.
- Use your own name and a real email address you control.
- Don't use scripts, bots or bulk email addresses to vote. We may remove any ballot we believe breaks these rules, and our decision on which ballots count is final.
- We may correct obvious misspellings so votes for the same business are counted together.

## Information we collect

When you vote, we collect your name, email address, ZIP code, your picks and the IP address your ballot came from. We use this to count votes, prevent duplicate or fraudulent ballots, and contact you about your ballot if needed.

Articles, photos, logos and advertisements on this site belong to Yakima Valley Publishing, Inc. or the advertisers. Search engines may index this site and AI tools may read it to answer questions and link back to us. Please don't republish our content, or use it to train AI models, without written permission.
